Bridge/Remedial Courses Offered:

As in department of computer science we have students from science, arts and commerce. The syllabus has 3 major subjects in BCA 1- Basic Physics, Basic Mathematics and BCA 2- Fundamental of accounts. So, for all the students who are non-physics Non-Maths and Non commerce we provide Remedial classes as extra classes.

Curriculum has emerging thrust areas:

• The curriculum of BCA as well as M.Sc. (IT) includes the emerging thrust areas, with an interdisciplinary approach.
• Practical and theoretical learning of C, C++, Java Programming languages helps in the development of latest Operating Systems including few segments of Android OS too, scripting of new languages like Limbo, Perl, Python, development of Embedded Systems, graphics and gaming applications, Web Browsers, Database Software, Medical and Engineering Applications and many more.
• Inclusion of subjects like HTML, scripting languages, .NET framework helps in understanding the hidden folds of the World Wide Web World.
• Subjects like Software Engineering and Data mining helps in getting a different perspective of the software world in terms of quality measures, which then opens a research scope for the keen learners.
• Subject like E-commerce, Principles of Management provides an interdisciplinary approach and helps in understanding the Business and Management world, and helps in developing the management abilities, which are greatly needed on corporate world.

ICT methods to support lectures:

• Faculties of the department of computer science uses ICT as an integral part to the teaching-learning interaction.
• We have interactive digital whiteboards, smart boards, well equipped Class rooms with projectors, Internet facilities for the faculties and students.
• All teachers have authorized mail ID's given by college. All files are shared and uploaded on the authorized server of stxaviersjaipur.org
• Pen drives, connectors of laptops, drives are provided to faculties for storing their presentations.

Faculty Imparting Innovations in Teaching Methodology

• The faculties try to add more value to their teaching through different activities which keep holding the student in the class. For an example:
• Multimedia Learning Process- We use various digital media types such as text, images, audio and video, into an integrated multi-sensory interactive application or presentation to convey information to the students.
• Question Banks are provided as home assignments after every unit is completed.
• When the topic of the day finishes there is a problem solving and group discussion.
• Before every Internal exam there are revision classes for the students.
• Topics or themes of Certificate courses, addon courses, Seminars and workshops are based on practical knowledge and hand on training.
• The research papers and projects are based of the languages inculcated in syllabus and the subject supervisor guides the students to work more in the subject of their interest
